Blame it on me being the president of Shoeaholics Anonymous to write my first post about shoes! But this is some cool stuff… Simple Shoes has launched a new line of sneakers called ecoSNEAKS™. Their motto:

ecoSNEAKS™ are made with sustainable materials…
Organic Cotton grown with the use of typical pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers or additivies. The plant itself is not derived from genetically modified seed.
PET Plastic bottles are chopped up and melted down and used to create the laces and pedbeds.
Recycled Car Tires They collect used car tires that would normally be sent to a landfill, cut them up, and use them as outsoles on some the shoes.
